I am a newly qualified Umpire/ Scorer, how do I get allocated to games?
All Umpire game allocations are made based on availability from the WhosTheUmpire website. You need to be registered for this website to be able to add your availability.
I am a newly qualified Umpire, how could I register to WhosTheUmpire?
Upon completion of your Umpiring course and becoming an ECB ACO member (form provided during the training), you will be registered on the WhosTheUmpire website. You then need to write an email to Appointments Officer requesting access.
Which games or leagues can I officiate or expected to be appointed to?
GACO Appointments cover all the WEPL, GCL, BDCA – Sr.Div and Div 1, T20 leagues, School games and many more. This page provides a comprehensive list of games and their playing conditions to help you.
Which games or leagues you can officiate depends on your umpiring qualification level. Refer to ECB Umpiring Pathway for more information.
Is contact information for league organisers available?
As an Umpire or Scorer, you will need to contact the Appointments team to help with any games you have been assigned to. Acceptance or Rejection of an appointment is done via WhosTheUmpire website.
